Happy Friday Thimble-friends!! It's the weekend and we are spending the weekend resting and enjoying this lovely weather after our week at the National Stationery Show in NYC! This week, in honor of the week we spent in NYC, our Friday Finds is all about what we found and discovered in NYC! We had so much fun in the city, exploring when we had a little time in between exhibiting at the show, so we hope you enjoy seeing what we found in one of the best cities in the world! Happy Friday and stay tuned for our post-NSS follow-up next week right here on The Thread!

One of the first stops on our trip was at the super cute Italian restaurant Tavola in Hell's Kitchen near the apartment we rented through Booking.com. It was delicious and had a super cute atmosphere.
We also strolled through Soho and stopped at Laduree to pick up a few yummy treats! The treats did not disappoint and we will definitely stroll back to there on our return to NYC!
During show set up, we escaped for a few hours and headed to Madison Square Park for Madison Square Eats. Madison Square Eats is a semi-annual culinary pop-up market of NYC's most popular restaurants. This was the second year we attended and it really is a culinary adventure that we now look forward to every May!
After the show on Sunday evening, we joined some friends and other makers also exhibiting at the National Stationery Show at The Jane hotel's rooftop bar. The hotel has a rich history that not just history buffs would enjoy. In 1912, the survivors of the Titanic stayed at the hotel until the end of the American Inquiry into the ship’s sinking. The Jane reminded us of Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel and the drinks were amazing. We highly recommend staying at this hotel or enjoying a drink in the ballroom or rooftop bar.
We also got to dine with the team of Moon and Lola at Sushi Samba and it did not disappoint. We shared amazing sushi, great drinks and a lot of laughs in the bright and colorful eatery!
While at the show we did not get to do a lot of shopping, but for a quick 30 minutes we were able to take in all the beauty at ABC Carpet & Home. It is a wonderland of inspiration and shopping dreams. They have several floors of gifts, yummy treats, carpet, decor, and furniture!
A few other places we dined:
Balthazar Buddakan Stanton Social In 2011, Kristen and her friend Leisha visited NYC. Before her trip she came up with an awesome PDF of lots of fun places, spaces and restaurants. To download the illustrated PDF list
